Our Story

Camera Shop Egypt began in 1996 when founder Kamal Ali identified a need for a dedicated, professional source of photography and videography equipment in the Egyptian market. Starting as a wholesale distributor, the company spent years building deep relationships with the world’s leading camera and equipment brands. In 2009, Camera Shop opened its first retail store in Downtown Cairo. The online store at camerashop.com.eg launched approximately 4 years ago, expanding Camera Shop’s reach to every Egyptian governorate.
